China the world’s second largest importer of LNG is continuing to boost its import of LNG in order to secure a more cleaner source of energy transitioning from coal.

China imported 53.7 million tonnes of LNG in 2018 surpassing South Korea as the world’s second largest LNG importer.

FERC Approves Corpus Christi's Train 2 Commissioning

The Federal Energy and Regulatory Commission (FERC) has approved Cheniere’s request to commission Train 2’s fuel gas system.

Train 2 is expected to reach substantial completion in the second half of 2019.

Australia expects to overtake Qatar as the world’s largest explorer during the FY2019-20 when exports are forecast to hit 78.3 million tons, up from 61.7 million tones in 2017-2018.
